Individual Reflection

Working on this project gave me a deeper appreciation for the creativity and strategy behind social awareness campaigns. When I began, I had a general idea of what PAWS does, but through research and concept development, I realized how powerful design and storytelling can be in spreading their mission.

One of the main challenges I faced was choosing a concept that felt both emotional and clear. I explored several ideas, but “Every Life Matters” stood out because it was simple, relatable, and deeply connected to PAWS' purpose, giving stray animals a second chance. It also allowed me to tie in visual elements, slogans, and emotional messaging into my tote bag and badge designs.

Another challenge was finding the right balance between creativity and practicality. I wanted the products to look good, but they also had to be affordable and easy to produce. I solved this by researching market prices, selecting reusable canvas for the tote, and opting for custom metal badges that are small but meaningful.

Throughout the process, I learned how to apply combinational creativity with blending emotional concepts with physical products to make something memorable and impactful. I’m proud that the final booth and product ideas don’t just promote sales, but also help PAWS raise awareness in a gentle, lasting way.
